Lully, lullah, thou little tiny child,
Bye bye, lully, lullay.
Thou little tiny child,
Bye bye, lully, lullay.
O sisters too, how may we do
For to preserve this day
This poor youngling for whom we sing,
"Bye bye, lully, lullay"?
Herod the king, in his raging,
Chargèd he hath this day
His men of might in his own sight
All young children to slay.
That woe is me, poor child, for thee
And ever mourn and may
For thy parting neither say nor sing,
"Bye bye, lully, lullay."

This is the truth sent from above,
The truth of God, the God of love;
Therefore don’t turn me from your door,
But hearken all both rich and poor.
The first thing which I do relate
Is that God did man create;
The next thing which to you I’ll tell
Woman was made with man to dwell.
And we were heirs to endless woes,
Till God the Lord did interpose;
And so a promise soon did run
That he would redeem us by his Son.
This is the truth sent from above,
The truth of God, the God of love;
Therefore don’t turn me from your door,
But hearken all both rich and poor.

Innsbruck, ich muss dich lassen,
ich fahr dahin mein Straßen,
in fremde Land dahin;
mein Freud ist mir genommen,
die ich nicht weiß bekommen,
wo ich im Elend bin.
Groß Leid muss ich jetzt tragen,
das ich allein tu klagen
dem liebsten Buhlen mein;
ach Lieb, nun lass mich Armen
im Herzen dein erbarmen,
dass ich muss von dannen sein!
Mein Trost ob allen Weiben,
dein tu ich ewig bleiben,
stet' treu, der Ehren fromm;
nun muss dich Gott bewahren,
in aller Tugend sparen,
bis dass ich wieder komm!
---
Innsbruck, I must leave you;
I will go my way
to foreign land(s).
My joy has been taken away from me,
that I cannot achieve
while being abroad.
I must now bear great sorrow
that I can only share
with my dearest.
Oh love, hold poor me
(and) in your heart compassion
that I must part from you.
My consolation: above all other women,
I will forever be yours,
always faithful, in true honor.
And now, may God protect you,
keep you in perfect virtue,
until I shall return.

In the bleak mid-winter
Frosty wind made moan;
Earth stood hard as iron,
Water like a stone;
Snow had fallen, snow on snow,
Snow on snow,
In the bleak mid-winter
Long ago.
Angels and Archangels
May have gathered there,
Cherubim and seraphim
Thronged the air;
But only His Mother
In her maiden bliss
Worshipped the Beloved
With a kiss.
What can I give Him,
Poor as I am? —
If I were a Shepherd
I would bring a lamb;
If I were a Wise Man
I would do my part, —
Yet what I can I give Him, —
Give my heart.

Silent night! Holy night!
All is calm, all is bright
Round yon virgin mother and child!
Holy infant, so tender and mild,
Sleep in heavenly peace!
Sleep in heavenly peace!

on a winter's night
still lies my heart
'neath cloudless sky and sea of stars
icy winds that lift a lone bird cry
sing me a lullaby
silently they fell on a vast white universe
in a moonlit field
a mask of death
on a winter's night
'neath a sea of stars
many miles away from home
I am home

Jesus Christ our Lord is risen
Above flocks of angels,
entered Heaven,
And so took this worldly prison captive.
Kyrie eleison!
Now we praise your ascension
with divine joy and song.
We sing your praise
with heart, mind and tongue.
Kyrie eleison!

Hark how the bells
Sweet silver bells
All seem to say
Throw cares away
Christmas is here
Bringing good cheer
To young and old
Meek and the bold
Ding-dong, ding-dong
That is the song
With joyful ring
All caroling
One seems to hear
Words of good cheer
From everywhere
Filling the air
Oh, how they pound
Raising their sound
O'er hill and dale
Telling their tale
Gaily they ring
While people sing songs of good cheer
Christmas is here
Merry, Merry, Merry, Merry Christmas
On on they send
On without end
Their joyful tone
To every home
Ding-dong, ding-dong

There is no rose of such virtue
As is the rose that bare Jesu;
For in this rose contained was
Heaven and earth in little space;
By that rose we may well see
That He is God in persons three,
The angels sungen the shepherds to:
Gloria in excelsis Deo
Now leave we all this worldly mirth
And follow we this joyful birth
